Watch Alanis Morissette's new video Guardian - It is the brand new clip supporting her lead single "Guardian", a songs which sings about being "your keeper for life".

Canadian singer Alanis Morissette, a Ottawa-born performer and multi-platinum Grammy winning artist is set to be releasing her highly anticipated seventh studio album, Havoc and Bright Lights, on 27th August with Columbia UK. But until the record is out, she teases her fans with a brand new music video for the record's lead single "Guardian", a songs which sings about being "your keeper for life". You may watch the video clip at the bottom of the page.

Filmed in blac-and-white, the creative inspiration behind those wings she's wearing is Wings of Desire , the 1987 fantasy film by Wim Wenders about angels watching over Berlin. And yes, that is Berlin in the video.

Produced by Guy Sigsworth (Björk, Madonna, Seal) and Joe Chiccarelli (Tori Amos, Elton John, My Morning Jacket, U2) and recorded in Los Angeles, Havoc and Bright Lights marks Alanis' first release in four years. Speaking about the album, Alanis says: "This record, as always, is a snapshot of what I currently obsess about, care about, and what strikes me at 4 in the morning in my most introspective moments. It is my emotional, psychological, social and philosophical commentary through song. I can't wait to share it with this fun and funny planet, and to tour, and can't WAIT to have the lively, engaging and challenging conversations that these songs may invite."

The arrival of this new video follows Alanis' short string of UK shows last month. Fans will be able to purchase "Guardian" from 26th August.
